San Francisco: Cartoon Art Museum

While visiting San Francisco this month, I stopped by Cartoon Art Museum. My main attraction there was The Savage Dragon: The Art of Erik Larsen exhibition. The exhibition featured more than 40 pieces personally selected by Erik Larsen from his archives.

There was also other great stuff, from the likes of Bill Watterson, Jeffrey Brown, Bill Keane, Jim Davis etc.

Moebius-Transe-Forme

I had a chance to check out Jean Giraud’s exhibition “Moebius-Transe-Forme” in Paris some time ago. The exhibition was very impressive – I would have regretted if I hadn’t visited it!

Unfortunately it was forbidden to take photos inside the building…

Eiffel, Louvre, Notre Dame… and Frank Cho

We spent last week in Paris and had a lot of fun!

In the middle of the sightseeing I also enjoyed the comic book stores of the city. I found, for example, Wizard’s Jim Lee Millennium Edition, which I’ve been hunting for for a long time.

On Thursday we attended the grand opening of Frank Cho’s art exhibition.

I was very excited about the art (that’s me checking the details on the background).


Next day Frank was sketching and autographing in a local comic book store. A real once in a lifetime opportunity!
