A John Doe slaying lures a journalist into a world of political intrigue, a wi-fi-enabled grotto, and a station locker full of secrets. For Bucky, an editor of the crime beat at “The Truth,” it’s all in a day’s work…
…but he also happens to be a deer.
Deer Editor, an originally crowdfunfed antler-noir miniseries by Ryan K Lindsay and me, will be published by Mad Cave Studios in 2024. We couldn’t be more excited to get our anthropomorphic story into stores!
Here’s a little preview of the first issue, which is available for pre-order now. The colors are by Lauren Affe and letters by Jim Campbell.
A while ago, BOOM! Studios announced that it will release Abbott 1979 – the third and final chapter of the Abbott trilogy – this fall.
It’s been such a joy to return to Detroit with our hard-nosed, chain-smoking tabloid reporter, and I hope everyone will check out what she’s up to.
The first issue will hit stores soon, so stay tuned!
On the eve of the 1980s and the Reagan Administration, Detroit is burdened with an oppressive darkness–both political and supernatural. Dejected and tough tabloid reporter Elena Abbott, who previously defeated the occult forces responsible for her husband’s death, must dig herself out from rock bottom if she’s going to save Detroit from the Umbra, one last time… Elena will have to contend with the dark cloud hanging over Detroit… and over her own life.

The finale of The Vineyard dropped last month. Thank you to all the readers who stayed on board on this murderous joyrney!
2022 wasn’t a good year for me professionally (I assume everyone who follows comics news has read about AfterShock), and it was an extremely bad year if we look at the state of the world. However, I’m trying to focus on some positives in life:
The Vineyard #3 finally hit the shops at the end of January, and I hope it has found its way to readers’ hands!
Like Soda and Telepaths described in their review, there is a hidden darkness that seeps out of each panel like a cancer, infects your finger tips like a bad dose of LSD and runs up your veins like a virus and makes you shudder with each decision the protagonists make.
